An artist is a practitioner of magic who is able to cast spells by drawing picture, which show the intent of the spell such as the victim for example. The Royal Family of Tamarang shows an aptitude for the skill with Violet and her distant relative James both having the skill. The witch woman Six also shows some knowledge of the skill, which is shown by her ordering Violet where to draw while attempting to capture Richard Rahl.
