Drefan Rahl was Richard's half brother, and a Raug'Moss healer, who married Kahlan, allowing Richard to gain entry into the Temple of the Winds.

Drefan was a tall muscular man. He inhereted the good looks of his father Darken Rahl, but unlike his half brother Richard Rahl his phyique leaned more to the perfection similar to his father. He wore a ruffled white shirt that opened to his mid-chest as well as tight dark trousers.
