Erilyn Zorander was the wife of First Wizard Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander and gave birth to his daughter. She would have been the grandmother to Richard Rahl.
She was killed during the war between the Midlands and D'Hara when Panis Rahl, the ruler of D'Hara, ordered a quad to kill her. The quad broke all of her bones and left her for Zedd to find. When Zedd found and attempted to heal her, a Worm Spell was activated which then killed her.
Before the quad had left, they also kidnapped Zedd and Erilyn's daughter. Later however, with the help of Abby, Zedd was able to save her.
After Zedd moved to the Westlands, he planted a tree in Erilyn's honor, that was later cut down by Kahlan Amnell in a demonstration of how the Sword of Truth worked.
