Giller

Giller was a wizard with the calling. He was one of the students of First Wizard, Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander.

Wizard Giller had big dark eyes, a bald head and a hooked nose. His long, white, pointed beard and the way that he stuck his hands in the opposite sleeves of his robes caused him to appear very wizard like. Giller's robes were typically long and silver.

Giller appeared to turn his back on the Midlands when he became the adviser wizard to Queen Milena of Tamarang. The Queen held one of the three Boxes of Orden and was trading it to Darken Rahl in exchange for an increase in her power. For a wizard to sell his services to a singular person is said to be very dishonorable. However Giller had honorable reasons for his apparent treachery.
Giller used his new found influence in Tamarang to get the box away from the city and away from the hands of Darken Rahl. He used the little girl, Rachel and was able to help her smuggle the box out of the palace.
When Darken Rahl came to Tamarang, he subdued Giller and attempted to torture the whereabouts of the box from him. Before Darken could get the information he needed from Giller, Giller took his own life by using a spell called Wizard's Life Fire. The spell was an attempt to at least hurt Darken Rahl, but it failed. Giller did save the knowledge of the location of the box however.
