Harold Amnell

Harold Amnell was the leader of the armies of Galea. His sister, Cyrilla Amnell, was the Queen of Galea until her death. He was the half-brother to the current Mother Confessor, Kahlan Amnell. His parents were the former king and queen of Galea, Wyborn and Bernadine Amnell. He had no interest in the Crown and decided to leave it to his sister while he took up command of the armies.

As a young boy Harold's father, Wyborn is taken as the mate to the Mother Confessor of the time. Despite this, his mother, Bernadine, raises Harold to respect the Confessors and all that they represent.

Unlike his sister, Cyrilla, who is raised to become Queen of Galea, Harold is raised to remain a Prince and take command of the Galean armies, which he eventually does.
