Maren was said to be a stout, stern looking woman, with fine sandy hair. She was stocky with muscles like a woodsman and a tongue to match them. Though as headmistress of the novices, she was a strict woman, Sister Maren was also a compassionate woman, who recognized the difficulties novices faced when first being accepted by the Sisters.
