Mother Confessor

The Mother Confessor was the Confessor chosen by her fellow Confessors to lead them. She was usually the most powerful of all the Confessors.

The Mother Confessor held the First Chair of the Central Council of the Midlands and her word was final; she was in effect the leader of all the Midlands. She was feared above all others by the people she represented, because there were many rumors about her terrible power, both political and magical.
If the Mother Confessor was to venture to a land of the Midlands it was a momentous occasion and the ruler of that land was expected to open their doors to her. The Mother Confessor could give orders to a king or queen and expect them to be followed to the letter. She could also remove any ruler she believed corrupt from the throne and would use her touch against any who dare not to comply. She was recognizable as she had longer hair than any woman in the Midlands and wore a beautiful white dress that contrasted with her sister Confessors' black.
