Plague

The Plague was a terrible sickness that killed thousands when unleashed upon the world by Sister Amelia, under orders of Emperor Jagang. Amelia achieved this with the use of a special book she retrieved from within the Temple of the Winds. The plague was ended when Richard Rahl fufilled the criteria set down by the spirits, although he himself was required by the spirit of Darken Rahl to take the plague upon himself in order to leave the Temple. He, however, was cured the Mother Confessor Kahlan Amnell, who called the chimes into the world of life on his behalf.
