Leaving[]

Sadly, sometime within the next few months, I will be completely gone from this wiki, thanks to events in my life that I can not control. I love this wiki and have always been glad to see others that share my love for the series and help me on the work on this wiki. In fact, I think Markrox91 kept this wiki alive for a long time and if it wasn't for him, this place might be dead. Because of his work, he is now an admin. I have also made Ixidorsbane an admin as well, since he took on a major workload on the site at one point.

I'll be back eventually, I hope, so I hope to see this place explode with content once the tv series airs and the final book (next month) is out. I hope to get to read the final book myself before I leave, but that's yet to be seen.

Thanks to everyone. :) Keep this place alive, please! Eric42 17:05, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Thank you very much for trusting me to be an admin, Eric. It's a massive loss to the wiki to see you go. Hope to see you back soon =] --Markrox91 06:47, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

You deserve it. :) It'll be a long time, sadly, before I return, but I hope it won't be too long. Take care, dude. Eric42 11:25, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Timeline[]

I've decided that a rough timeline should be created. I took a look at the Star Wars wiki, because it is so successful and noticed the way that they have constructed a timeline and have decided to follow a similar pattern. It will be more difficult for us, as the dates are abit more sketchy, but it is a challenge that can be met. --Markrox91 07:46, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Massive overhaul[]

As the last active administrator, I have decided to overhaul the wiki and implement an official Sword of Truth Wiki:Manual of Style, to be followed by all editors, so that the wiki is more uniform as a whole.--Markrox91 05:09, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

  • I've edited the Kahlan Amnell artcle to show the appropriate format of an aritcle. Obviously the subtitles in the biography section will be different for different articles.--Markrox91 10:13, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Something to think about...[]

This wiki is going to encounter some problems as the biographies of the characters in the books start to diverge from the characters of the same name in the tv series. Although the television series is based on the books, big differences in the character stories, backgrounds, personalities, etc do exist and they will only be built upon more as time goes on. It might be prudent to start thinking about a way to separate the character histories on the site other than the "Behind the Scenes" block present now. --192.91.147.35 00:47, October 1, 2009 (UTC)jkbush31

Might I suggest to make make it a seperate and by the by I can get a hold of character and fantasy pictures!

TV Show vs Books[]

Legend of the Seeker SUCKS, the books are 1 000 000 000 000x better.

I LOVE Legend of the Seeker as much as the Sword of Truth. They are my two best things in the whole world. I saw the TV series first and LOVED it. So I had to have the books when the TV series ended. I have read the books many times thru and I LOVE them. I just love the characters in both series. They are just like in the TV series. To me anyway.Jak Darckner (talk) 13:06, February 1, 2015 (UTC) The Darckner

LOTS/SOT split?[]

Hi everyone,

I've noticed that the Legend of the Seeker series leave the SOT storyline quite a bit. Might it be best to create a separate LOTS Wiki, and delete and bar all LOTS information from this one?

Seeing as the TV series creates all kinds of items(or properties of them) and new people to fill up the quick-paced story of what is after all a tv show, you get information which has no explanation or which even contradicts the books. In my opinion, this just creates "empty" paragraphs.

How do you all feel about this?OsirisGOLAD 16:34, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

Just noticed someone had already mentioned this(internet on a smartphone loads pages slowly...). It's probably best to discuss this before you get loads of articles with LOTS info, because then you'd have to go remove all of it again if you chose to do so. The definition for a war wizard should be modified. If you have read the latest book by Goodkind "the first confessor" it is clear that all wizards and sorceresses back in the day were born with substractive magic. Not just war wizards. What was special about war wizards is that they possessed talents beyond most wizards. While most wizards were talented on only one form of the gift, such as healers, or makers, or prophets. War wizards possessed many forms of the gift which made them more powerful that an average wizard. Merrit, the creator of the confessor magic, though he possessed both sides of the gift he wasn't a war wizard he was a maker. A type of wizard that had creativity to make new types of magic and to use the gift in ways that were previously unheard of. So yeah someone should fix the meaning of war wizard and such. Merritt wasn't a war wizard. The only war wizards names so far a Richard and Baracus 72.229.145.254 04:20, October 18, 2012 (UTC)Javier05g@yahoo.com

SoT/LotS[]

I have seen and read both TV series and book series and I LOVE them both very much. I just dont get the people who dont like the TV series because it's differend than books. I dont care about that. I dont see the difference I only see the similarities with the books and there is a lot of them. I've seen the TV series many times thru and read the books many times over and I see the characters like in the TV show because they are the characters in the books.Jak Darckner (talk) 13:21, February 1, 2015 (UTC)

Best book ever![]

Death's Mistress by Terry Goodkind

I'm so excited that Terry's next book is about Nicci!!! My all time favorite character in the books and TV series!!! It's like Terry has read my mind and gave me this gift to share with all of you Nicci fans. This is going to be the most important book of my life. Jak Darckner (talk) 09:55, July 17, 2016 (UTC)
