Trunt Lake was a large lake nestled at the bottom of a hillside within Ven Forest, southeast of the town of Hartland. From the top of the hillside, a viewer could easily see across the lake, as well as the alternating patches of rocky bottom and green weed around the deeper holes at the bottom of the clear water. Trunt Lake was bordered by Hawker's Trail directly to the north running along the bank of the lake, with the main trail continuing around the west side of the lake and up the hillside.
It was near Trunt Lake that Richard Rahl and Kahlan Amnell first met.
